Climate neutral company
Respect has developed action programs for companies wishing to become climate neutral, that is, operate without contributing to global warming. Many companies have a strong need to reduce their climate impact. The background may be new requirements and laws, requests from customers or staff, a need for energy efficiency, reduced costs, or a strong commitment to environmental issues.
The climate-neutral companies take active steps to gradually reduce their climate impact; the work is based on annual follow-up and a striving for continuous improvement. Through this approach, program participants can reduce their emissions in a systematic and cost-effective way. In addition, climate work strengthens the company's sustainability profile.
The Action Program consists of five steps:
| - |
Identification of the company’s climate impact according to international standards (Greenhouse Gas Protocol)
|
| - |
Elaboration and implementation of an effective action program to reduce emissions
|
| - |
Reporting and review
|
| - |
Offset of remaining emissions in international climate projects (CDM)
|
| - |
Communication and dissemination of good practice
