Carbon Offsetting

Carbon Offsetting
is an important tool in international work on the climate issue. In short, carbon offsetting means compensating and taking responsibility for the unavoidable emissions after own actions.

Respect offers UN certified CDM-projects (Clean Development Mechanism) as well as credits from VER-projects, all according to demands and preferences from clients. Some of our projects goes beyond reducing emissions, and contributes to an increase in living standard for local inhabitants; for example in providing clean drinking water, street lights and contributions to schools. The projects have a strong sustainability profile, which makes them easy to communicate.

To identify and ensure quality in the projects, Respect holds and collaborates with leading expertise within CDM and VER, i.e. advisors to the UN and the Swedish Energy Agency among others.
